How a crape myrtle should look

Somehow, this beautiful, natural crape myrtle has escaped the crape myrtle death squads. Notice the perfectly smooth multiple trunks. How much longer this crape can survive is anyone's guess. There is also a nice native yaupon holly next to it.

Crape murder in Dublin, Texas

There is actually far worse examples of crape murder in Dublin, but I'll get to those later on.

Crape murder in Stephenville, TX

Crape murder can be witnessed all over the Stephenville area. These crapes in the Walmart and Staples shopping area are in no way near the worst that can be found but are good examples of amateur, unprofessional work crews who know nothing about the plants they are put in charge of  "taking care" of.

These are shown after regrowing from last year's annual butchering.

More crape myrtle genocide in De Leon, TX

Someone really went out of their way to butcher this entire row of crape myrtles.

Worst crape murder ever in De Leon, TX

These crapes are in front of the yellow house behind Wofford's used cars. This beautiful matching pair of mature crape myrtles was always well taken care of and kept expertly trimmed. Then one day I noticed that a butcher came along and ruined them forever. Ignorance breeds ignorance.
